Betsy moved to Corvallis with her husband Shawn and their family in 2002 and is the practice manager for Tammany Veterinary Hospital. Betsy enjoys spending time with their two girls Abby and Katie exploring the many activities available in Montana’s beautiful Bitterroot Valley. 

Ashley is a graduate of the University of Montana Western. She moved to the Bitterroot Valley and started working for Tammany Veterinary Hospital in 2014. When not at work Ashley can be found spending her time in the arena, barrel racing, and roping.

Our Technicians: 

Dr. Shawn Gleason is originally from the Madison Valley of Montana. He graduated from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. He moved to the Bitterroot Valley with his family in 2002 to start his own practice. Prior to his move to the Bitterroot Valley, he practiced at Idaho Equine Hospital in Nampa, Idaho for five years. Dr. Gleason works on horses and both beef and dairy cattle. Shawn enjoys roping in his spare time.

Dr. Kyle Kelly joined Tammany Veterinary Hospital in June of 2017. As an avid athlete, Kyle enjoys the pure athleticism that horses display. He attended veterinary school at Colorado State University and focused primarily on equine work. He also spent time working on bison and feral swine with the USDA during his time in veterinary school. His professional areas of interest include lameness, dentistry, and sports medicine. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and his dog, Turbo, mountain biking, trail running, fly fishing, woodworking, and skiing.

Jessica is a graduate of the PIMA Veterinary Technician program in Dillon, Montana. She is highly interested in large animals and is excited to utilize her knowledge at Tammany Veterinary Hospital. Jessica was born and raised in western Montana and enjoys all it has to offer. When outside of the clinic Jessica can be found in the Big Hole Valley spending time with her dog, Trace, and her horse, Brandi.

Our Barn Staff: 

Dr. Alexandra Van De Motter joined us as an associate veterinarian in July 2016. A native of Ohio, she spent two years in equine practice at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Having done her undergraduate work in Missoula, she is glad to return to Montana. While excelling in equine care, she is excited to work on the goats and sheep of the Bitterroot Valley. Dr. Allie is a graduate of the Options for Animals Veterinary Chiropractic program and is certified in Animal Chiropractic by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association.

Justin is originally from Alabama. He moved to the Bitterroot Valley in 2017 and joined our team in early 2021. Justin can be found transporting horses, maintaining the clinic, and repairing anything that needs to be repaired. Justin has completed 10 years of active duty in the Marine Corps and is a wildlife biology major at the University of Montana. During his personal time, Justin enjoys hunting, fishing, and packing into the backcountry.

Stacy grew up in Washington state where she was an assistant trainer, involved in an extensive breeding program, and showed performance horses. Stacy spent two years as a small and large animal vet tech in Maui, Hawaii. She then continued teching in her home state of Washington. Stacy spends her free time roping and riding, exploring the beautiful valley, and continuing her passion for
photography, creative art, and metalwork.

Jen joined our team as a receptionist shortly after moving to the Bitterroot Valley. Jen grew up rodeoing, competing in many of the timed events. She currently raises cutting and reining horses, providing her a well-rounded understanding of equine sports. When Jen is outside of the clinic she loves spending time with her husband and children, commonly rock-hounding and exploring our beautiful state. 

Dr. Anne Hutton earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Montana State University in 2014 and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 2018. After receiving her DVM, she completed two yearlong internships- one at Pioneer Equine Hospital in Oakdale, California, and another at Virginia Tech’s Marion DuPont Scott Equine Medical Center in Leesburg, Virginia. She has received specialized training in sports medicine, surgery, and emergency and critical care. Dr. Anne is from the Big Hole Valley; she grew up around horses and livestock through 4-H, ranch work, and rodeo. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and her horses, going on pack trips and rodeos, traveling, skiing, hunting, and fly fishing.
